CHEER has a thoughtful fundraising campaign going.

Here’s some information about it:

It’s summer, and the kids want to go to camp! Kids miss their friends, a regular schedule, learning, and playtime. Here in Montgomery County, the schools have announced that there will be online summer school. Social-emotional learning is important now more than ever and programs like this for underserved kids in Long Branch are desperately needed.

Here’s more information:

To fill this need, CHEER, a nonprofit dedicated to developing social networks in the Long Branch area, is starting Camp Piney Branch. It’s a new camp designed to provide the children in Long Branch opportunities for summer camp through their online, Camp-in-a-Box program. The children will be provided with the necessary camp materials and enjoy online sessions.

You can check it out and contribute here.
